English courses for adults in small groups — online and in Trnava

Two to four adults, one teacher and a lesson where people actually talk. Everyone else is hunting for words just as slowly, so the first sentence out loud is not as scary as in a meeting.

A1 – B2 2–4 students in a group online via Google Meet or in Trnava, A. Kubinu 8

We put groups together by level and by the time that suits you — that is why the application is not an order and you pay only once the group is together. You don’t need to know your level in advance: we find it out in the demo lesson, or you can see it right away with a short online test, free of charge.

Who this course is for

Group lessons for adults, from the very beginning up to B2, two to four in a group. Most people come to us with one of these four things.

You need English at work

Meetings in English, colleagues abroad, an interview where some of the questions come in English. In a group you rehearse the conversation with people who are dealing with the same thing — not on the day when someone is actually waiting for your answer.

You are about to travel

The airport, the hotel, a restaurant, a question in the street. We go through travel situations out loud and in pairs, so on the spot you are not working out how the sentence starts — you have already said it ten times.

Learned it at school, forgotten it since

School was a long time ago; two tenses and a few words about the family survived. We don’t start from zero: first we find what is still there, and then we add only the missing pieces. In a group it also turns out you are not the only one in that position.

Looking for a better price

A month in a small group costs roughly half of one-to-one lessons. The teacher is the same; you just have up to three other people beside you, hunting for words for exactly as long as you do.

How adults learn English with us

Three things we do differently from a language textbook.

A woman talking with a speech bubble above her — in a small group everyone gets to speak

A group, not a lecture

Two to four, not twenty

In a group like that you can’t sit through the lesson in silence — everyone gets to speak several times. We put you together by level, so nobody waits and nobody has to catch up.

Practice between lessons

Quest AI, our own app

Between lessons you practise in Quest AI. There is grammar by topic, dialogues from everyday situations and free conversation with our bots, who will sit through the same sentence a hundred times. Access is included in the course price and available even at midnight.

A suitcase, plane tickets and a map — travel and work situations in role-play during the lesson

Role-play and challenges

Role-play and the challenge of the month

One books a room, the other confirms it, then you swap roles. Plus a practical task once a month — a short presentation, an e-mail, a post. You play the situation through here, not for the first time when it counts.

How a lesson goes

We agree the time, the length and the format once the group is together — and then we stick to them.

  • When

In the morning between 9:00 and 11:00, or in the afternoon and evening between 15:00 and 19:00 — depending on what you tick in the application. We fine-tune the exact day and hour with everyone at once, when the group is together.

  • Where

Online via Google Meet from anywhere, or in person in Trnava at Andreja Kubinu 8. You choose the format in the application — online and Trnava are always separate groups.

  • How many students

Two to four. We put you together by level and by what you need English for. We start with a pair, so there is no waiting for a full group.

  • How long and how often

A lesson lasts 55 minutes — not 60, so the teacher can catch her breath and pour a glass of water between lessons. Once or twice a week, which is 4 or 8 lessons a month.

  • Feedback

As we go, we tell you what has moved forward and where it still gets stuck — without dissecting every mistake. And at home we would rather recommend ten minutes in Quest AI than homework for two evenings.

Who teaches the lessons

One teacher, the same one every lesson. Nobody has to start getting to know someone new each time.

Mgr. Júlia Ratynska, teacher at Quest language school

Mgr. Júlia Ratynska

English · Slovak · Ukrainian · Russian · Spanish

When you get stuck somewhere, Júlia explains it in your own language and then you go back to English. In the first lessons she finds out what each person in the group needs English for — meetings, travelling, an interview — and builds the lesson around that. When something doesn’t work, she makes no drama of it: she asks where exactly it got tangled.

Quest AI — English between lessons as well

The group meets once or twice a week. Talking can happen every day.

You turn on the microphone and say a sentence. Julka answers out loud, corrects you and is in no hurry — not even at half past ten in the evening, when that is the only free time in the whole day. In front of Englík there is no need to worry about slipping up — he is a guinea pig whose English is in exactly the same shape.

  • Speaking out loud — you talk into the microphone and hear the answer right away
  • A personal dictionary — a new word is saved with one tap and is still there a week later
  • Role-play challenges — an interview at the bank, a complaint at a hotel, small talk with a colleague
  • You install the app on your phone, and the login lasts three months

Access is included in the course price, with no extra fees.

Group course application

Our groups are small — 2 to 4 students. To place you with people of similar level and schedule, we need a few details. You pay only once the group is formed and you confirm the schedule.

How to start

Three steps. The first two are free and commit you to nothing.

1

Free demo lesson

One lesson online, no payment and no card. The teacher sees where you stand, and you see whether it fits. If it doesn’t, we part on good terms.

2

You fill in the application

Your level and the times you can make. Feel free to tick more days and hours than you plan to attend: the more there are, the sooner we find people who fit the same slot.

3

We get in touch when the group is together

We write the day, the hour and the date of the first lesson and send the payment link. We write by e-mail or WhatsApp — with most students it is WhatsApp, which tends to be quicker.

What our students say

We’ll admit it straight away: so far our Google reviews come mostly from parents. Their children are taught by the same teacher and by the same method — and below are three of the nine, exactly as they were written.

A great English school for kids and teenagers. The teachers are very kind and patient and create a friendly atmosphere. Lessons are clear and playful, and children learn naturally, without stress. I appreciate the individual approach and the small groups.

Thank you for tutoring Ninka all year long. She told me she wants to continue in September. I'm so glad she enjoys English with you — before that, she couldn't even look at it. 🙏🤗

Frequently asked questions

Six things people ask about most often.

In a group the lesson runs on without you, and it counts: the others came. We only move the lessons we cancel ourselves: public holidays, school breaks, the teacher being ill.

We send what was missed and catch up on it briefly in the next lesson, so you stay in step with the group.

A computer, tablet or phone with internet and a place where nobody disturbs you. Headphones help more than a camera. You don’t have to install or buy anything for the lesson — Google Meet opens in the browser.

We take applications all year round and start with just two people, so there is no waiting for a full group. How quickly a group comes together depends mostly on time: the more slots you tick in the application, the sooner we find people who fit the same one.

If no group comes together within two weeks, we get in touch ourselves and offer another time or one-to-one lessons. We won’t leave you waiting in silence.

Only once the group is complete and the time confirmed do we send the payment link. The course is paid monthly in advance: by transfer via QR code or through the GoPay gateway — card, bank transfer, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Prices are final, we are not VAT payers. You commit to one month at a time — if you decide not to continue, you simply don’t pay for the next one. The details are in the Refund Policy.

Our own app, access to it is included in the course price. Inside there is grammar by topic, dialogues from everyday situations and free conversation with our bots, who don’t mind hearing the same sentence for the tenth time.

It is an addition to the lesson with the teacher, not a replacement. There is nothing extra to pay for it.

We put you into a group by level, so a complete beginner doesn’t sit with B2 and nobody is left trailing behind. In a group you learn to speak with people who are in a similar place, and a month works out cheaper.

If you need your own pace, vocabulary from a specific field, or you have a deadline to be ready for, it is worth looking at individual lessons for adults.

The first step is yours, we take care of the rest

You can ease in with one free lesson, or go straight to filling in the application. Both ways lead to the same thing — a conversation in English that you don’t assemble in your head in advance.
