One-to-one lessons
Individual English for kids — online and in Trnava
One child, one teacher, and a lesson built around whatever your child is into right now. We learn through conversation, games and role-play — not through silence at the blackboard.
You don’t need to know your child’s level in advance — we find it out in the demo lesson. If you want to know it right away, we have a short online test, free of charge. The test can be hard for younger children. We recommend trying it from about the age of 10–12.
Who this course is for
One-to-one lessons for children from 6 to 12. Families usually come to us with one of these four things.
English at school isn’t going well
The child is falling behind, the grade is dropping, and at home it has turned into an evening argument. In a one-to-one lesson we can go back exactly to the place where it got tangled — without the whole class watching.
Knows more than they say
They understand, but they are afraid to speak. That is why we talk from the very first lesson — first about Minecraft and dogs, then about everything else. We correct mistakes in a way that doesn’t put the child off saying the next sentence.
Can’t keep up in a group
Some children need their own pace: slower with grammar, faster with speaking. In a group that isn’t possible, but in a one-to-one lesson it is — the pace is set by a single child.
Something specific got stuck
Pronunciation, tenses, reading, preparing for a test. When the goal is clear, we build the lesson around it — and we don’t have to wait for the whole group to reach the topic.

How children learn English with us
Three things we do differently from school.
Learning in context
Vocabulary from what the child enjoys
Paw Patrol, football or Minecraft — whatever the child watches at home is something we can use in the lesson. The words stick because the topic is one the child remembers without studying, and the conversation starts on its own.
Practice between lessons
Quest AI, our own app
Between lessons the child practises in Quest AI. There is grammar by topic, dialogues from everyday situations and free conversation with our bots, who will sit through the same sentence a hundred times. Access is included in the course price. We don’t give this part to children under eight — at that age the teacher is enough.
Role-play and skits
Ordering ice cream in English
In the lesson the child orders in a café, plays a favourite character and keeps a dialogue going. It sounds like a game, and it is one — the child just happens to learn to say a sentence out loud without assembling it in their head first.
English opens the door to a world of stories and games
- Favourite films and songs — the child understands them in the original, without waiting for the dubbing.
- In games the child suddenly understands what the characters are saying, instead of guessing from the pictures.
How a lesson goes
No surprises: we agree on the time, the length and the format in advance — and stick to them.
-
When
Morning, afternoon or evening — whenever the child still has energy left. We pick the time around your schedule.
-
Where
Online via Google Meet from home, or in person in Trnava at Andreja Kubinu 8. You choose the format when ordering. If WhatsApp, Messenger or Telegram works better for you at home, we will meet you there too — you don’t have to install anything for us.
-
How long
45 minutes for children aged 6–8, for as long as concentration lasts. 55 minutes for older ones — not 60, so that the teacher can catch her breath and pour a glass of water between lessons.
-
How often
From once to three times a week. With two lessons or more the month works out cheaper — you can see it in the price list below.
-
Feedback for you
We tell you regularly how it is going and give specific advice on what helps at home. And no homework that takes an hour and a half.
Who teaches the lessons
One teacher, the same one every lesson. The child doesn’t have to start getting to know someone new each time.
Mgr. Júlia Ratynska
English · Slovak · Ukrainian · Russian · Spanish
If a child doesn’t understand something in English, Júlia explains it in the child’s own language. In the first lessons she finds out what the child is really into — football, Minecraft, horses, space. She builds the rest around that, because that is what a child has something to say about even in a foreign language. The point is not to get through the grammar, but to have English tied to something of their own, not to being tested at the blackboard.
Quest AI — English between lessons as well
A lesson is once a week. Speaking can happen every day.
The child turns on the microphone and says a sentence. Julka answers out loud, corrects it and is in no hurry. And a slip in front of Englík costs nothing — he is a guinea pig whose English is in exactly the same shape.
- Speaking out loud — the child talks into the microphone and hears the answer right away
- A personal dictionary — a new word is saved with one tap and is still there a week later
- Role-play challenges — ordering in a restaurant, a visit to the doctor, a conversation at the bank
- You install the app on your phone, and the login lasts three months
Access is included in the course price. We don’t give this part to children under eight — at that age the teacher is enough.

How to start
Three steps. The first one is free and commits you to nothing.
Free demo lesson
One lesson online, no payment and no card. The teacher sees where the child stands, and the child sees whether this is fun. If it isn’t, we part on good terms.
We pick the time and the pace
After the lesson we tell you how often and how long it makes sense to study. We then pick a package in the price list to match.
The order and the first lesson
You choose the package and the month and pay by transfer via QR code or by card. We confirm the times by e-mail — or on WhatsApp: that is where we message most parents, and it tends to be faster.
What parents say
Thank you for tutoring Ninka all year long. She told me she wants to continue in September. I'm so glad she enjoys English with you — before that, she couldn't even look at it. 🙏🤗

I never got the chance to thank you for your kind approach, patience and dedication with our kids — thank you once again. You are a truly lovely person. 🥰
A great English school for kids and teenagers. The teachers are very kind and patient and create a friendly atmosphere. Lessons are clear and playful, and children learn naturally, without stress. I appreciate the individual approach and the small groups.

Frequently asked questions
Six things parents ask about most often.
Write to the teacher at least 24 hours in advance and we move the lesson with no fee. Children get ill, trips get moved — we count on that.
A computer, tablet or phone with internet and a place where nobody disturbs them. Headphones help more than a camera. You don’t have to install or buy anything for the lesson — Google Meet opens in the browser.
Any time. We take new children all year round — there is no waiting for September or for the first of the month, and you choose the starting month when ordering.
The course is paid monthly in advance. After the order you get a QR code for a transfer, or you can pay through the GoPay gateway — by card, bank transfer, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
Prices are final, we are not VAT payers. Unused lessons move to the next month — and if you decide to stop, we return the money for the lessons you haven’t taken, any time. The details are in our Refund Policy.
Our own app, access to it is included in the course price. Inside there is grammar by topic, dialogues from everyday situations and free conversation with our bots, who don’t mind hearing the same sentence for the tenth time.
It is an addition to the lesson with the teacher, not a replacement. We don’t give this part to children under eight.
One-to-one lessons make sense when the child needs their own pace or is shy about speaking in front of others. If your child enjoys company and you are looking for a better price, there are group courses for children.
The first step is yours, we take care of the rest
You can ease in with one free lesson, or go straight to a package and a month. Both ways lead to the same thing — a child who isn’t afraid to speak up in English.
Demo lesson
No payment, no card and no commitment to continue. After the lesson the teacher tells you where the child stands and what would help — even if you end up deciding this isn’t for you.
