Mistakes are part of learning
Learning a foreign language is stressful — we know that. So nobody here raises an eyebrow at the wrong tense, or at the word that walked out of your head at the worst possible moment. We fix the mistake, sometimes have a laugh about it together, and move on. Because progress starts when a person stops being afraid to open their mouth.
No interest, no progress
We learn about what you enjoy
First we ask what you’re into. Football, series, fashion, work, travelling? That’s exactly what we then talk about in English. Grammar and vocabulary stick to a topic that keeps you going — and English stops being one more item on the list of things you have to do.
A question of approach
There are no hopeless students
There’s only the wrong approach. When it isn’t working, we don’t look for the fault in the student but in the way we teach — and we try another one. And the biggest leap comes the moment someone believes for the first time that they can do it.
Our method
A teacher and AI. Each does what it does better — and neither of them works on its own.
Why a teacher and AI
We tried learning with AI alone. It works — right up to the moment when there’s nobody to tell you what comes next. What’s missing is a system, feedback, and a person who notices that you’ve spent three weeks elegantly avoiding the past tense. So we didn’t put AI in the teacher’s place — we put it next to them.
What it looks like in practice
The teacher runs the lesson: explains, corrects, keeps the pace and uses apps and learning games. And shows you how to practise vocabulary, pronunciation or a whole conversation with Julka and Englík between lessons — even at ten in the evening, when the mood suddenly strikes.
Two worlds that aren’t competing
From the teacher you get a personal approach and a plan that changes as you do. From AI, endless patience and the chance to practise when it suits you. Neither is enough on its own — together they make sense.
What we focus on
Speaking. The situations that are actually waiting for you — a phone call, a job interview, ordering in a restaurant, a colleague from Ireland on the line. And a pace you can keep up even after the first wave of enthusiasm passes.
Who’s behind Quest
Eight years in the classroom, then her own school
Mgr. Júlia Ratynska — founder and head teacher
She has been teaching English for eight years and holds a master’s degree in English and classical languages — Latin and Ancient Greek. In that time she has heard every mistake there is — and she knows where each one comes from.
Quest came out of a fairly simple wish: to have a place where a student feels safe and understood. Where nobody is judged by how quickly they memorise irregular verbs.
Our mission is for you to speak English without fear — at your own pace, with a teacher and AI sidekicks behind you.
